Seeking Two Paid Production Interns

Hacks & Wonks, a podcast focused on politics and policy in King County and hosted by Crystal Fincher of Fincher Consulting, is seeking two innovative and enthusiastic Podcast Production Interns!

No experience is required, however the ideal Podcast Production Intern will be a Kent-Meridian High School student or Mill Creek Middle School student and be eager to acquire skills in audio production, digital marketing and communications, and administrative support.

All training will be provided for duties that may include:

  • recording and audio editing
  • social media marketing
  • scheduling interviews and managing the podcast calendar
  • posting content to the Hacks & Wonks podcast website
  • managing episode uploads to iTunes and Spotify
  • other administrative and support tasks as needed and assigned

Intern Positions Available: 2

Hours: 6 hours per week (anticipating 3 days per week) for a period of 6 months, with the possibility to extend

Stipend: $360 per month

Location: All internship activities will take place in Kent, with optional training opportunities in Seattle at a radio and/or podcast production studio. Any travel costs will be reimbursed. Any in-person/non-remote internship activities will follow all King County Public Health guidelines and protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
